If you’re looking for a spot with a real San Diego style beach vibe…Levyland should be at the top of your list!  Its a great new location right on the lagoon in Carlsbad with direct beach access.  You have full run of the house for an entire week!!  Which means there’s no rush to get everything for your event setup and taken down in one day.  Along with full run of the place, you can move the furniture where you see fit (as long as its back the way you found it before you leave).

Levyland is a true blank canvas that you can really make your own.  You’re free to bring your own caterer, rental company, bar service…whatever you need to complete your day you can do it!

The biggest bonus is the direct beach access not only allows brides and grooms great photo ops, but if you were really hoping to have a beach ceremony you can do it!

They estimate about 125 for ceremony and reception with the property as is.  They have a great space for a tent so if you’re group is larger you can tent and accommodate up to 200.

They haven’t even completed their first year but the place is booking quick!  Check their website for more details on rates and go take a tour!

CANNOT beat the view!  The windows look directly upon the water, you have access to the rocks (which makes for some ah-mazing pics), and it strikes this remarkable compromise between ocean and garden wedding!

Approximately 130 people fit nicely inside, but you can also use the patio outside.

And the real fun part of this location….dancing can be in a different room which makes for this awesome nightclub atmosphere!  Hardwood floors with bay windows looking out to the ocean…INCREDIBLE!

One of my favorite aspects of this location is that you get to bring in everything, so unlike a hotel you get your choice of caterer.  Depending on the caterer you may also be able to BYOB which can save $$$$…which I am always in favor of!

Capella at the Grand Del Mar

Stunning.  That is the only word to describe the Grand del Mar.  Perhaps the most exquisitely designed property in San Diego, the Grand del Mar feels more like an estate than a hotel.  And if you are planning an event here you simply cannot go wrong.  The food is delicious, the wine list is extensive and varied, and the event space is so impeccably decorated!  Hands down - one of my favorite venues.  And if you are looking for an old-world church setting  - the Capella Chapel is where you want to be!
