During my trip to Napa last month our first stop was Mumm Napa.  Now if you haven’t already figured out that I have a fondness for bubbly then you may need to read the “What we believe…” portion of the About Us page.

So needless to say I was quite content with the idea of starting my wine weekend with a bit of bubbly.

Mumm Napa Cuvée M Red

First let me say how impressed I was with Mumm Napa’s wine tasting experience! A tasting room simply will not do for them.  Mumm has a patio with tables and chairs (complete with umbrellas and misters!) at which you are free to sit, be served, and enjoy the view.  It was probably one of the most lovely wine tasting “rooms” I had been to.

On the menu that day was a tasting flight titled “Red, White and Blue.”  I was initially intrigued at what the “Blue” would be, as my partner in crime had already explained that the “Red” truly was a red sparking wine.  Well all thoughts of the “Blue” wine flew out the door as soon as I sipped the “Red”. . . Cuvée M Red to be exact!  Smooth, velvety, with just the slightest hint of bubbles. . . it instantly became one of my new favorite Sparkling Wines!  Delicious and divine, this bottle of bubbly has the slightest hint of berries which rounds it out quite nicely.  And it looks so lovely in a champagne flute too!  I can just imagine a table set in creams and whites with a glass of Cuvée M Red at each setting.

Had I realized that its availability outside the winery was so limited I would have picked up a few bottles!  But I guess that just means I’ll have to make time to for another trip to Napa. . . tragedy! 

I think lanterns are a lovely touch and a way to make your wedding stand out.  These Ikea lanterns are inexpensive and can be used for a variety of things!  Centerpieces, decor, hanging lighting….or my personal fave, a great alternative to a traditional bouquet!

I {heart} Hobo bags!  More specifically their clutches and their wallets.  Don’t get me wrong…the bags themselves are fabulous!  But the clutches and wallets are the genius of this label.

I often found myself needing more than a wallet…but a clutch never did the trick and a small handbag was just too much. But Hobo fills that gap and is still able to differentiate between their clutches and wallets!
I used to carry a Hobo frame wallet that would double as clutch on the occasions that I simply needed my wallet and keys. I have, however, moved past those days and find myself carrying my entire life with me on a regular basis. So, I’ve moved up to a Hobo clutch that serves as my wallet!
You may think to yourself, “what’s the fuss about…clutch, wallet, who cares?!” Well I care. You see… Hobo products are not only chic, but functional. They’re designed to make sense but don’t have those endless array of “organizing pockets” like some tragic labels. Granted, my Hobo Wallet/Clutch is larger than your average wallet…but that’s just how I roll. I have a mobile office that makes it look like I’m leaving on a trip every morning I leave the house! So having the ability to downsize to a wallet/clutch that perfectly fits my keys, phone and lipgloss is a dream!

The official flower for the month of April is the Sweet Pea!  You only need a few to dress up your table!

Flipping through a magazine, I came across this lovely disposable flatware set.  It was just so cute & fun!  I decided to seek out the website and see what the details were.  I never expected the website to be so delightful!  All sorts of randomness can be found at KikkerlandShop.com.  As their own website states

Stumbling through the website I found this even more delightful “mini” chandelier, but the beauty of the site is that there’s something for everyone!  Gadgets abound for nearly any personality!  So,  if you’re ever in a rut as to what to get someone I highly recommend perusing the selections at KikkerlandShop.com…at the very least it will get those creative juices flowing!
